Look Around
There are times when you just need to stop and take a look around you. What do you see? Is there anything that triggers you, or anything that doesn’t seem right to you and you’ll like to change. Harriet Tubman now known as a Black American legend, looked around her and saw the pain and suffering of her peers. This sight triggered something within her, and pushed her to not only free herself from this awful fate but to lead the escape of over 70 slaves as a conductor on the underground railroad.
Look Back
Sometimes it is good to take a trip down memory lane, and look back at the things that inspired you but you had to let go due to circumstances or just maybe because you felt like you weren’t good enough for it at the time. Do you perhaps have a forgotten dream? Or maybe someone you really looked up to? Also, the importance of looking back, reminds you of the things you went through and came out of. You may find purpose in being that person who breaks the cycle for those who are now experiencing what you were delivered from.
Look Forward
Last but not the least, look forward to the bright future ahead of you, the things you can achieve, the change you can bring. Proverbs 4:25 quotes- “Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead”. Speak life into your future and do not let the shadows of the past poison your future but rather learn from it, move on, and look forward to the unknown, because God has your future secured.
