Becoming A Woman is a hybrid community organisation that provides nationwide support through online services and in-person events. The organisation aims to boost mental health, aid social integration, and improve access to local resources. One of its key initiatives, The Esther Project, offers monthly mentorship, training, prayer meetings, and educational resources to young women. Becoming A Woman, CIC also hosts the Annual Becoming A Woman Conference at various locations nationwide.
The organisation empowers women, mainly from (but not limited to) ethnic and minority groups, through mentoring, workshops, and training programs. These efforts help equip young women with essential career skills and knowledge. By fostering a supportive network, Becoming A Woman aims to help young women overcome societal challenges, build self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, and ultimately enhance the community’s well-being. The Family Picnic in the Park is one of the events designed to support these goals, as women in the organisation solely organise it.
As we reflect on our journey, we realize that it is only through God’s grace and mercy that we have come this far.
He has been our source of strength, comfort, and guidance, and we are forever grateful for His love and faithfulness.
We trust that He will continue to lead us on this journey, and we are excited to see where He is taking us.
As a child, I was very passionate about the challenges facing young women, particularly the high rate of teenage pregnancy in my community. I was deeply moved by how the men live their lives while the young women have to cope with themselves and their children alone, as well as the stigma associated with them. This injustice stirred something deep inside me, and I knew I had to help. My mother’s story further reaffirmed my passion for helping women. I decided to focus on educating and empowering young women, hoping to prevent them from falling into similar situations. I also wanted to assist those in difficult situations.
Over the years, I have pursued my passion through various channels. For instance, my love for writing led me to set up a blog website where I share my thoughts on issues affecting women, among others. In 2016, I started a YouTube channel where I continue to share my thoughts on current issues affecting women, as well as my experiences.
Becoming A Woman was the title of a series I started on my blog and YouTube channel. At first, it was just a way to share my thoughts and experiences. But I had no idea that this was God leading me to something greater. A few years later, the Lord spoke to me, leading me to conduct a conference called Becoming A Woman Conference. This conference aimed to empower and educate young women on various topics, including self-care, relationships and much more. The conference was a huge success, and it has since become an annual event.
Through my work, I hope to inspire women to live their fulfilling lives, pursue their passions, and believe in themselves. I am committed to making a difference in the lives of young women. I know that with God’s help, I can achieve this goal.

Becoming A Woman Conference is an annual conference for young women to support and equip them for the future. What to expect at the Conference are various events such as praise & worship, prayer, special ministration, and, most significantly, our discussion session.
The discussion session is designed to be a safe space for young women to share their experiences, receive guidance, and learn how to navigate the challenges of being a woman. We will also discuss how to apply biblical principles to their own lives and create a better future.
Participants will be able to leave the Conference with a better understanding of their purpose and how to achieve their goals. We will also provide a platform for participants to connect with each other and build support networks.
